OK I’ll give the readings a rest for a few days because this is a good one. I want to put these messages to work, after today, which will be about psychological endurance, profound boredom and sore feet. If you’re a manger you can go sit in the back & be on your phone when it’s slow. If you’re an associate, you get abuse for merely getting “caught” looking out of the window & smiling at a tree.
I do this… If I have a moment, I gaze. Green is a relaxing and healing color. Studies have shown that patients in hospitals tend to improve more quickly even if there’s just a picture with green in it hanging on the wall, if they can’t see trees out of a window. All this punching of time clocks (gotta make sure the corporation doesn’t lose a DIME on its lowest paid workers!) and inability to access social media, never mind have fun conversations with coworkers without being scolded… I’m so unused to this. It’s crazy.
If people were paid living wages, there wouldn’t be a need for a daily bag check before you walk out the door. Think about it. This is something that doesn’t happen in a professional environment.
Card 1, within: Knight of Disks
Last seen on June 1st & May 27 in the same position.
On a quest for what is physical.
Do not dwell on the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. – Buddha
Keywords: Don’t look outside for the answer to the problem, look inside to find peace. You already have everything you are looking for. Look in your own home. Do not have doubt in yourself, you are made for this and already have all the tools.
Introduction: The Knight of Pentacles points to messages, often with regard to money and finance. You are likely to finally receive news that you’ve been waiting on, and this news is likely to be good. This Knight is a very practical card. The news in question is unlikely to be that you’ve won the lottery.
General: The Knight tells us to pay attention to the mundane and normal parts of our lives. A wise man once said, “Take care of the little things, and the big things will all fall into place.” The Knight of Pentacles asks you to look at how you are handling your affairs, and is a grounding influence.
Questions to Answer:
- Who is stable and reliably there for you? Charlie of course.
- Who is committed to security and conventions?
- How is it going at work or on a project? I’m looking forward to getting back to my illustration work tomorrow. Also I started a new infographic yesterday.
- What needs of your body or Mother Earth are you sensitive to?
Card 2, without: Queen of Wands
Last seen in the 1st position, May 22nd.
Creates an environment of spirit (growth, change).
Introduction: The Queen of Wands is one of the most fertile (metaphorically and literally) and feminine/womanly energies in the Tarot deck. In a reading, like all court cards, she can often signify a literal person in our lives, most often female, and most often with hair tending toward the lighter shades in the spectrum. The Queen brings good energy, and is a positive sign to receive.
General: The Queen of Wands can also refer to a woman who has a lot of fire energy about her e.g. Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. When not referring to a literal person, she stands for getting a lot accomplished, and often, a focus on work/career. The Queen is positive, uplifting energy. When she stands in for a woman in your life, she’s a good friend, who is solidly on your side, even though she may seem a bit self-absorbed. If you are trying to conceive and this card appears, it’s one of the most positive signs that there can be.
Keywords: Shaman, witch, powerful shapeshifter. An environment where growth and creativity and the gifts of the true self are cultured, cherished, upheld and encouraged.
Queen of Wands shares self discovery, sensitivity and spirit – awakening to the deepest essence of who you are as your love of home and the appreciation of nature is translated into feeling and understanding. Your attractive personality draws people to you because you just naturally love life and people. You see no purpose or value in deceit, control or dominance. Your attitude is sensible and you are most helpful when providing good advice. People do not fear asking you for assistance because they KNOW they will be helped if it is at all possible.
Question to Answer:
- How are you expressing your creative energies?
Card 3, advice: IV The Emperor
The Emperor – To BE something, to KNOW something and to BE CAPABLE OF something is what endows a person with authority. Retain your inner balance now and from the exhaustless riches of the Limitless Substance – you can draw all things needful, both spiritual and material. Spiritually – aspire your highest goals, mentally – build according to a logical and practical set of plans, physically – act upon your goals and plans, emotionally use your anger to motivate you and you will achieve your visions.
This is the card that asserts authority, organizes systems to retain maximum control and is the paternal influence of the Tarot deck, assuring that protection and security are provided to all those playing by the rules.
Reason is the function of your conscious mind – handle your affairs in a systematic manner and you will know concrete results. You will experience the wisdom and authority necessary to produce stability, solidity, organization and foundation. If you wish for Spirit to manifest itself, it is necessary for you to create a space of “emptiness” for Spirit to use to assist you in focusing on the truth and to achieve this, you must be willing to put aside your personal opinions. If you wish to receive a revelation of truth – you must put aside your personal development and allow yourself to be guided by the Master.
God governs the world by authority – not by force. The Emperor owes his authority not to his power “over” human beings – but because he represents them before God. He has authority because he is human and represents all that is human and the more truly human you become – the more you manifest the “image and likeness of God”.
Questions to Answer:
- Where do your ambitions lie?
- What are you organizing, building, doing?
- What kind of Emperor are you – energetic and imaginative or rigid and unreceptive?
- Who is establishing guidelines, parameters and structures in your life?
- Who has the power and authority and how is it being used?
Introduction: The Emperor shows us that domination of the mind over the heart is sometimes not wanted, but in some cases is it necessary and even welcomed, and that this is part of what we must think about when he appears. When hard choices must be made it’s important to maintain your concentration and focus, and this is something this time period will make it easy for you to do. Enjoy the assertiveness and confidence it that this self-control and focus brings. Forge ahead and do what you know is best. If you can master yourself then you should have little problem mastering the world and all the things in it.
The future position is an uncomfortable position for The Emperor. The days and weeks ahead are vague and quite affected by the smallest decisions of the here and now. The Emperor card demands to assert itself. When The Emperor card is here, anticipate a change to come into your life in a bold manner; expectations to conform in the way you carry yourself may be part of this picture. Regardless of the situation, understand that new demands to follow a specific behavioral prescription will be coming your way and coming in the near future. Prepare now to submit, evade or resist. Well I already know it’s “wrong” of me to put a hand in my pocket when standing, take my clogs off behind the counter to air out my feet, that even if the dresses ARE in the right order I’m prone to not even being able to SEE an offensive messiness recognized by someone up just one rung up the ladder. (The retail ladder is more of a step stool than anything else, lol.)
