Well… Since global events have atypically garnered my attention this morning, and I have time to read up on them since there is no retail hell today & Charlie is working a long shift. I’m going to work too… I’m making a new infographic for my sample roster and I’ve gotta apply some watercolor washes to the two latest goddess illustrations, but yes, I’ve got time. You’ve gotta take advantage of the boons that circumstance offers because Gods know there are plenty of hardships.
The below is nearly the same reading as two days ago! Instead of the Knight of Disks in position 1 we’ve got the King. The Queen of Wands is holding steady at #2, and we’ve got another of the major arcana in position 3.
Card 1, within: King of Disks
Last seen June 13th in the same position.
King of Pentacles indicates the mastery of prosperity, harvest, determination and abundance – a solid position. The desire to create and protect that which is financially necessary. A generous soul who is friendly, affectionate, solid, steady and can be of great help. A gifted person who has not been overcome by their position in life.
Keywords: Master of life, living, physical existence, joviality, temptation (and not resisting), laughter, pranks, living the the moment, earthiness, virility, lust, animal nature, risk taking. Eat the forbidden fruit with relish.
Introduction: The Knight of Pentacles points to messages, often with regard to money and finance. You are likely to finally receive news that you’ve been waiting on, and this news is likely to be good. This Knight is a very practical card. The news in question is unlikely to be that you’ve won the lottery.
General: The Knight tells us to pay attention to the mundane and normal parts of our lives. A wise man once said, “Take care of the little things, and the big things will all fall into place.” The Knight of Pentacles asks you to look at how you are handling your affairs, and is a grounding influence.
Questions to Answer:
- How are you using your ability to manage your material affairs?
- Who is trustworthy yet stubborn?
- How are you being practical and down-to-earth or who do you know that is?
Card 2, without: Queen of Wands
Last seen in the 2nd position June 22nd & 1st position, May 22nd.
Creates an environment of spirit (growth, change).
Introduction: The Queen of Wands is one of the most fertile (metaphorically and literally) and feminine/womanly energies in the Tarot deck. In a reading, like all court cards, she can often signify a literal person in our lives, most often female, and most often with hair tending toward the lighter shades in the spectrum. The Queen brings good energy, and is a positive sign to receive.
General: The Queen of Wands can also refer to a woman who has a lot of fire energy about her e.g. Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. When not referring to a literal person, she stands for getting a lot accomplished, and often, a focus on work/career. The Queen is positive, uplifting energy. When she stands in for a woman in your life, she’s a good friend, who is solidly on your side, even though she may seem a bit self-absorbed. If you are trying to conceive and this card appears, it’s one of the most positive signs that there can be.
Keywords: Shaman, witch, powerful shapeshifter. An environment where growth and creativity and the gifts of the true self are cultured, cherished, upheld and encouraged.
Queen of Wands shares self discovery, sensitivity and spirit – awakening to the deepest essence of who you are as your love of home and the appreciation of nature is translated into feeling and understanding. Your attractive personality draws people to you because you just naturally love life and people. You see no purpose or value in deceit, control or dominance. Your attitude is sensible and you are most helpful when providing good advice. People do not fear asking you for assistance because they KNOW they will be helped if it is at all possible.
Question to Answer:
- How are you expressing your creative energies?
Card 3, advice: XI Strength
Questions to Answer:
- How strong is your love?
- How are you being called upon to show courage and perseverance?
- What do you desire to create?
- What inner passion needs to be expressed?
- What inner passion needs to be reconciled?
- What is the “natural” or instinctive thing to do?
Introduction: Strength indicates the importance of mind over matter, and reminds you to focus on what you do want rather than what you don’t want in your life. Its main point is that you have the ability to harness your thoughts and to use them for your – and everyone else’s – highest good. Not only do you have the ability; you have the responsibility. So conquer your fears, control your impulses, and never lose patience with yourself or what you are doing.
General: It’s important now for you to make time to meditate and contemplate and spend some time alone even if you are in a committed relationship and have nineteen children! Do not allow yourself to spend time in preoccupation and fear. Outward things will be going all right but what is of the most paramount importance is keeping your head on straight.
