Ha! I burned only 297 doing a workout that says it’s good for 700 calories

Julia has spoiled me! That’s why I didn’t post the supposed burn as part of the routine title, which is how it’s shown on YouTube. I at least expected to hit half way though, not like 42%. Goes to show just how hard I’m working when I actually DO burn north of 700.

I should’ve done one of Julia’s short routines with a more serious yoga. I haven’t done anything approaching a “complete” yoga practice in quite awhile. Oh wells. I added on 35min of the easy stuff & at least cracked 400.

111 average is an indication the whole thing was tedious, lol

  1. Haha, yes, Christine always extremely exaggerates the calorie burn in her workouts :)) I even noticed in the comment section that someone wrote: “This would burn probably 350 for an average woman, no way it could burn 700” and someone replied: “Oh no, of course you can burn 700, you just have to go hard!” or something like that 🙂 People have all those missconceptions about calories and calori burn. They think that if you go hard, you burn thousands of calories in an hour. They never get that the more you are fit (and also small and/or thin), the less you burn. I burnt around 280 for this workout and I definitely went hard and heavy 🙂

    1. Ya I’m not sure how Cristine could burn that much. It was not very intense and what is she, 135lbs? I’m about 110. Granted my body was tired. I’d had a really intense one the day before, but I wasn’t exactly going light. I just looked back in my old blog to see how much I burned when I randomly tried a Fitness Blender workout that said it was 1,000 calories. I hit 753. That’s a much better percentage at least! Like it’s in the ball park.

      1. Yeah, I actually don´t think she burnt that much – I never noticed any “tracking device” on her wrists. I think she just very roughly estimates the calorie burn, but it seems like she use a very weird calculation. Or maybe she thinks that a 240lbs man is an average person and she calculates the calories based on that 🙂
